JOHNSTON Press has unveiled inews.co.uk, a new website designed to complement the culture and layout of the i newspaper, which it bought from ESI Media in February for £24 million.
The website is a fusion of national news coverage with local stories to produce what the publisher describes as an ‘essential’ briefing for the web.
The site is fully responsive across devices. Readers can choose news through The News Matrix, which shows the day’s headlines at a glance, and the site also categorises them in sections including Essentials, Explainers and Distractions. The homepage displays an Essential Five section, giving readers the five most top stories of the moment.
