THE Printing Charity is to provide eight safety training bursaries to UK freelancers who work in print or online as journalists or photographers.
The bursaries will be distributed through the Rory Peck Training Fund, which was established in 2000 to make essential hostile environment training affordable for freelance journalists. Since its establishment, the fund has provided hundreds of bursaries to freelancers around the world.
Set up in 1827, The Printing Charity is dedicated to helping people who work or have worked for three years in printing, publishing, graphic arts and print related trades, as well as their families. Regular financial assistance, financial grants to pay for things like independent living and training, as well as two sheltered homes for retired printers are just some of the ways The Printing Charity helps people of all ages.
