NEWS Academy Summer School students have produced their own paper at Newsprinters’ Broxbourne plant in Hertfordshire.
They saw their paper roll off the presses at the world’s biggest print site after a fast-paced week of reporting, masterclasses and workshops. The 20 young journalists came from all over the country and were selected for the summer school after submitting a 500 word opinion piece and then interviewed.
They worked right up to the wire at News UK’s London Bridge headquarters to get their paper just right in time to go to print.
